Veritas School has consistently stayed around “800” in the Academic Performance Index since the day it opened several years ago.

That number represents the performance goal for all public schools as established by state Department of Education, with the scores ranging from 200 to 1,000.

As one of six schools in Manteca Unified to achieve the API goal – New Haven (831), Brock Elliott (825), McParland (823), Nile Garden (815), and Stella Brockman (808) were the other such schools – Veritas, which tallied 815, will be having a Standardized Testing and Report assembly today in the multi-purpose building.
The STAR event will take place at 9:45 a.m.

“We are honoring all of our ‘Advanced’ students with a medallion, our ‘Proficient’ students with a pin, and students who made 30 points growth with a certificate,” Principal Tracie Crawford said.

The API will be administered again this spring to second- through 11th- grade students
