More than 10,000 plastic eggs filled with candy await youngsters up to 10 years of age during the annual Manteca Kiwanis Community Easter Egg Hunt.

The hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp Saturday at the Northgate Community Park softball fields on Hoyt Lane off of Northgate Drive across from Neil Hafley School.

Each child participating in the free event will receive a raffle ticket as they go through the gate. The ticket is good for a drawing after the hunt for three bicycles - one for each age group - and a verity of toys.

• EGG HUNT IN RIPON
: Heartland Community Church, located at 127 S. Acacia Avenue in Ripon, is hosting an Easter Celebration. An Easter Egg hunt for children through 4th grade will be held on Saturday, April 7, from 10 until 11 a.m. The event is free.

Easter Sunday, April 8, Worship Services will be held in the sanctuary at 9 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. Both services will have a children’s program. Refreshments will be served after each service.

• EGG HUNTS AT BASS PRO
: Bass Pro Shops at Orchard Valley is staging free Easter activities through Sunday, April 8. 

On Saturday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. bring the kids to have their free 4x6 photo taken with the Easter Bunny.  Pictures may also be taken Monday through Friday, April 2, through 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.  An old-fashioned Easter Egg hunt for kids ages 2-10 will be held Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, from 1 to 2 p.m. Registration for the Easter Egg hunt will be at 12:30 p.m. with the hunt beginning promptly at 1 p.m. and last only until 2 p.m.

Kids can enjoy fun crafts making an Easter Suncatcher or decorate their own Easter Egg on Friday, April 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8 from noon to 3 p.m.
