RIPON — The annual Egyptian Festival - one of the most unique festivals in the 209 - continues today and Sunday at Ripon’s St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church at 300 Orange Avenue at Second Street.

A clothes boutique is offering festival goers traditional Egyptian garments to wear and they will be entertained with the music of a live Egyptian Band.  There will be Henna tattoos, face painting and games for the kids.

Guests will also be able to transform themselves into centuries old past in the Pharaoh photo studio.  Delicious Egyptian cuisine including kebabs, gyros, dolma and Egyptian sweets will be offered.

The event opens today at 10 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m.  The hours for Sunday are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Tours of the church will also be available.

To reach the church from Highway 99, take the Jack Tone Road exit and travel west to Main Street where you will turn left. Travel to the sixth intersection (located directly across from the open play field at Ripon Elementary School) and turn right onto Orange Avenue. The church is within a block.
