The Los Angeles Fashion District is a top destination for wholesale buyers, retail shoppers, designers, and Hollywood stylists.
Add fashion students including those Angie Anaya’s Fashion Merchandizing class to that list.
Each year, students of Manteca Unified’s Regional Occupational Program earn their way to the hub of the fashion industry by doing various fundraisers.
Their big one is the premier runway Fashion Show scheduled for Saturday, March 19, at the Sierra High’s large gym, 1700 Thomas St., beginning at 7 p.m.
About 100 or so models – most will be from four the comprehensive high schools in the district, namely, Manteca High, East Union, Lathrop High and Sierra High – displaying the current fashion trends for the spring along with formal wear at this eighth annual event.
In the past, this event has received support from the other ROP classes, including Careers in Law Enforcement (security), Fashion Design (apparel), Culinary Arts (catering), Interior Design (VIP room) and Video Production (recording).
Tickets are $10 for VIP and $5 if purchased from ROP students.
