The final Manteca Bulletin golden pumpkin has been found. It was discovered by Katie Ellefson shortly after 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a bush by United Lutheran Church on Northgate Drive.

Ellefson was told about the pumpkin hunt by a friend and she decided to try her luck, since she is really good at riddles, she says. She happened to be getting gas after visiting a friend and got the newspaper at Black Bear Diner. One glance at the clues and she drove off to the other side of town to claim her prize.

The clues were:

• The opposite of south fence is a north gate – or Northgate Drive.

• That clang, clang isn’t the sound of an engine bell – but of a church bell.

• Look heavenward – a clear pointer towards a church.

• Ghost train runs here – Manteca Tidewater Bikeway used to be train tracks running through town.
