Megan Uecker was recently diagnosed with nodular melanoma.
The local product now living in Deer Park, Texas is the oldest daughter of Deborah Finley of Finley’s Bar & Grill at 10477 S. Airport Way.
Uecker is a single mother of two relying on the Affordable Health Care as her medical insurance. The co-pay on her deductible for the costly surgery is $13,000, according to Finley.
She’s opening up her business through Friday to help raise money for the cause.
Finley’s is open daily beginning at 11 a.m.
“Order anything you’d like and know that 100 percent of the proceeds will go towards Megan’s surgery,” said Deborah Finley on Tuesday.
She added: “I know each and every one has been affected by cancer and that is the why we are turning to our community for prayers and support.
