Second Harvest Food Bank’s Annual Chili Pot Cook Off takes places on Saturday, Aug. 13.
It is a night of delicious chili, family fun, and raffle prizes.
Tickets are available now at Second Harvest Food Bank and will also be available at the door. Tickets are $8 per person (children 5 and under are free) and include unlimited chili tasting and one non-alcoholic beverage.
This year’s event will be at the MRPS Hall, located at 133 N. Grant Ave. in Manteca. Chili Cook Off participants will begin setting up at 3:30 p.m. Doors open to the public for tasting at 5 p.m.
Applications to enter your chili are now available. They will be accepting Chili Cook Off entries through Aug. 5. Applications can be returned in person or by mail to Second Harvest Food Bank at 704 Industrial Park Dr, Manteca, CA 95337.
Second Harvest Food Bank will be awarding cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place chilies as well as a “People’s Choice” award! Top prize will be $300 We will also be hosting a “Hottest Table” contest; the best decorated chili station table will also win a prize! .
All proceeds from this event will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties to fight hunger in our community.
