A two-year-old Manteca girl was grazed by one of five bullets fired into her home and penetrating interior walls at 2:51 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Lincoln Court .
Manteca Police spokesperson Sgt. Jody Estarziau said the drive-by shooting appeared to be gang related.  Lincoln Court is just off Lincoln Street,  north of Edison Avenue, east of the 600 block of North Main Street and several blocks west of Shasta School in Central Manteca.
Officers arrived to find the girl bleeding from the wrist from a non-life threatening wound.  The bullet reportedly struck her pillow and grazed her wrist in the process.  No other occupants in the home were injured, Estarziau said. The girl was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The motive for the shooting is unknown although the preliminary investigation indicates the residence appeared to have been targeted.
Detectives are currently investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information of the crime to contact Detective Gutierrez at 209.456.8223 or by calling crime stoppers at 209.823.4636.
