A 6-year-old Shasta Elementary School student was mortally injured while she was walking to school Friday morning about 9 a.m.

The student was hit when crossing Edison Street from North Lincoln Avenue while walking with two children.  She was transported by ambulance to Stockton Airport where she was transferred to an air ambulance to U.C. Davis in Sacramento.
