The Latina Democratic Club of San Joaquin County invite all interested area voters to a great opportunity to hear Assemblyman Alberto Torrico (D-Fremont) in downtown Stockton on Friday, May 14.

Assemblyman Torrico is the Assembly Majority Leader and the author of AB 656: Fair Share for Fair Tuition bill to fund higher education in California through a severance fee on Big Oil in California, similar to state legislation already enacted to support public education in Alaska, Texas, and other areas.

Torrico began his career as a worker’s rights attorney and is now a candidate for California Attorney General. This is a free informational event for the San Joaquin county community to get informed about Torrico’s work on behalf of California residents. Again, this event is free and open to the interested public. For any wishing to purchase a lunch, the Cancun Restaurant will have a $5 lunch plate special available. However, all are encouraged to attend and no purchase is necessary. This is an informational opportunity for voters to hear directly from Assemblyman Torrico and not an official endorsement of his campaign.
