Sister Ann Venita Britto and her Ministry of Caring are loading up the candies.

But in this case, they’re loading up the sweet stuff for goodie bags to be used for the senior luncheon with the Halloween theme.

Members of the Ministry of Caring – namely, Miguel Costa, Nancy Hogle, and Jeanne Rowen – made a donation to the cause by helping purchase goody bag candies for the Oct. 23 event.

The luncheon will again be held at the St. Anthony’s Parish Gymnasium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All seniors are invited to enjoy a meal catered by John Perez along with Richard and Barbara Jager regardless of their religious affiliation.

Those attending will also have a chance to win door prizes via raffle or come away with one of the Halloween-themed centerpieces.

They can also enjoy or dance to live music.

The gym is located at the corner of North Fremont Avenue and Sutter Street.

In addition, Sr. Ann is expecting many of her regulars, including those from Valley CAPS, Prestige, Emeritus, and St. Jude Care Center, to name a few.

For more information, call Sr. Ann at 209.823.7197 ext. 227.
