The story in Saturday’s 209 Living section on St. Anthony’s Principal Mary Lou Hoffman incorrectly stated her administrative background. St. Anthony’s is not her first job as a Catholic school principal.

Hoffman was principal at St. Luke’s and also at St. Mary’s in Walnut Creek.  Hoffman’s experience with tears referenced in the story was from St. Luke’s her first year as principal. She earned her Masters in Private School Administration from USF in 1987 during her tenure at St. Luke’s. She is beginning her 36th year as a principal.  Prior to her serving as a principal she taught two years at Annunciation School and 16 years with Stockton Unified.

The photo in Saturday’s Bulletin of downtown Manteca in 1930 stated it was looking east down Yosemite Avenue from Manteca Avenue. The perspective is looking east down Yosemite Avenue from Maple Avenue.
