Kelly Alexis Diaz was crowned homecoming queen at halftime of the Sierra High Valley Oak League opener against Kimball on Friday.
She was joined on the royal court by Brianna Padua, who was announced as princess. The other princess candidates were Emily Nunes and Monica Oblin.
Diaz, 18, who was escorted by boyfriend Jordan and little sister Alyssa, edged out runner-up Claudia Hunter.
Queen candidates that rounded out this year’s royal court were Lexus Barnes, Anna Cardenas and Katie Crockett.
Earlier, Colton Harris and Jess Spivey earned homecoming king and prince, respectively.
The Class of 2014 reigned over homecoming, taking the overall title.
This year’s theme was Sierra hits the Street.
The seniors and their “Disney 2014, here are your Seniors” took first place for their parade float.
The juniors had the “Hollywood” float, the sophomores sported the “Great America Parkway” theme float, and the freshmen went for San Francisco’s “Height Ashbury” theme float.
In addition, the seniors defeated the juniors earlier in the Powder Puff football game.
