A fire Sunday morning caused $75,000 in damages to a duplex at 336 Stafford Way near Doctors Hospital of Manteca.

Firefighters arriving on scene to the 6:37 a.m. alarm found heavy smoke coming from the home.

After entering the home, they found heavy smoke throughout plus intense fire in the kitchen and the garage.

It took crews 20 minutes to knock down the fire. Clean-up lasted for about two hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
