Chad Huskey will serve a second year as president of the Ripon Unified school board.
Trustees again selected him for the post at Monday’s organizational session in the Council Chamber.
They also agreed to submit a request for continued use of the City of Ripon facility for regular scheduled board meetings while appointing Superintendent Sigrid ‘Ziggy’ Robeson as board secretary.
Huskey, who is a solution architect for the Clorox Company’s IT Department, was active at the Ripon High and Colony Oak Elementary School site councils as well as a Measure G Citizens’ Oversight Committee member prior to being elected to school board.
Kit Oase and Caroline Hutto were again picked as vice president and clerk, respectively.
Oase, Huskey, Robeson and her executive assistant Susan DeBranca, in addition, recently attended the California School Board Association conference in San Diego.
They were chosen to speak on behalf of facility finances.
“There were 120 people in the audience,” Huskey recalled. “We heard a lot of positive comments.”
