The time line for the re-opening of the back nine at Jack Tone Golf Course is scheduled this spring.
Recreation Director Kye Stevens said just that in his report at last Tuesday’s Ripon City Council meeting.
Back in May, the low-lying areas of the local golf course were inundated with water from the swollen Stanislaus River, which had engulfed all of the holes on the back nine along with two holes on the front of the course that winds down into that low-lying areas.
Jack Tone had only seven playable holes.
“The golf course is still under renovation since the floods,” said Stevens, who reported that the front nine is open but the back nine is 75 percent complete.
He added: “The back nine will open in spring to allow for the greens to set.”

“The front nine is completely open. Play nine holes for the seven-hole rate we previously were charging (for a limited time),” said the official website.
