Keith Rangel new Ripon High principal

Lance Morrow served as principal at Ripon High for the past eight years.
At Monday’s Ripon Unified school board meeting, Superintendent Siegrid ‘Ziggy’ Robeson announced his departure to Buhach Colony High in Atwater.
His replacement will be Ripon High Vice Principal Keith Rangel effective July 1.
Robeson applauded Morrow’s efforts.
“He expanded the AP and UC A-G requirements (at RHS),” she said. “He led the Ripon High Team to receive an excellent WASC report with a six-year accreditation period and many commendations.”
Morrow, who also taught at East Union High prior to becoming principal at Lincoln Unified’s Colonial Heights Elementary School, helped expand the Agriculture Department at RHS while adding an Animal Science Pathway along with helping create Ag Mechanics and Ag Fabrication courses.
In addition, he among those who created new computer programming classes to RHS, which recently achieved national recognition – for the second time in Morrow’s tenure – with the Silver Medal on US News & World Report Best High Schools.
Rangel is product of RHS.
He’s Class of 1995 and a former track, football and wrestling coach.
Rangel, who has been VP since 2011, was a P.E., Health and Special Education at RHS during his 16 years of working with RUSD.
 Rangel attended Modesto Junior College and the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.
