KIDS EMPTY PIGGY BANKS FOR VICTIMS OF HAITI QUAKE
Brian Burns, left, and Austin Carroll collect donations from kids. The two eighth graders organized the effort that saw kids empty their piggy banks, donate $33 they were saving for a Disneyland trip, collect $70 in one week from relatives, as well as one child that told his grandfather who offered to buy him a toy to get something small “because children in Haiti need food and drinks more than me grandpa.”
