Three of the Kindred Arts Concert Association’s most popular featured artists through the years will return for encore numbers to help celebrate the organization’s Silver Anniversary Season.
“We are bringing back these three outstanding performers because they were so popular and they were very good,” said Judy Byer, the president of the Kindred Arts for the last six years.
The three are The Tilden Trio (piano, violin and cello) who will open the “celebratory 25th anniversary season” with a performance on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at 3 p.m.; the internationally renowned pianist Tien Hsieh, a highly sought-after performer throughout Europe, Asia and North America who made her New York debut at the Carnegie Hall in 1996; and, the Stanford Woodwind Quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn), all professors at Stanford University whose most recent appearance in Manteca was in the 2009-10 concert season.
Tien Shieh will perform on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 while the Stanford Woodwind Quintet’s date will be on March 18, 2012. All 25th anniversary concerts will be held on Sundays starting at 3 p.m. at St.Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 East North Street in Manteca, corner of Powers Avenue.
Rounding out the concert season’s five performances are Michelle You (violin and piano) whose performance date is Feb. 26, 2012, and the Stockton Portsmen Chorus which will be Kindred Arts’ Christmas holiday offering on Dec. 18, 2011.
