Lathrop High Class of 2016 graduates 253

For the second straight year, Lathrop High featured three valedictorians for graduation.
On Friday, Felician Crisostomo joined his buddies Parminder Singh and Sahib Singh for the top academic honor following a review of his grade tally.
All three are UCLA-bound and will remain together as roommates.
The graduates sat at midfield at Bennie Gatto Field at Paul Wiggins Stadium, greeted by the applause of family, friends and special guests.
According to Principal Mike Horwood, Lathrop High had 253 who received their diplomas on this day.
They made their entrance with the LHS band playing the processional “Pomp and Circumstance.”
JROTC cadet Karissa Kammen led in the Pledge of Allegiance accompanied by her color guards.
The National Anthem was performed by the LHS band under the direction of Desiree Bugarin.
Horwood, who presided over graduation at the school for the third straight year, also provided the introductions and, later, the presentation of the class for the awarding of the diplomas.
The California Scholarship Federation Life members were announced by Math teacher Jeff Baldwin.
He announced the following: Chloriza Avila, Aiyana Bergren, Samantha Carmesis, Felician Crisostomo, Raquel Haro, Paula Mora, Jordan Morla, Joseph Olivarez, Arroma Rasdas, Samantha Salacup, Parminder Singh, Sahib Singh, and Lisa Thongmanivong.
