League of Women Voters hosts 3 candidates forums

STOCKTON - The League of Women Voters of San Joaquin County is staging three candidate forums for the Nov.  6, elections providing the public with the opportunity to hear candidates respond to questions regarding their perspectives, beliefs, and qualifications.

All forums are free and open to public.

5TH DISTRICT STATE SENATE TONIGHT:

The first Forum will be tonight at 6 p.m. at the California State University Stanislaus Stockton campus, 612 E. Magnolia Street, Acacia Court/Administration Building, Room 1014. This forum is for the new State Senate District 5 (Candidates Bill Berryhill and Cathleen Galgiani). For further information,  contact Kathy Casenave at (209) 473-3320.

STOCKTON COUNCIL OCT. 1:

The second Forum will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Stockton City Council Chambers, 425 North El Dorado, Stockton, for the Stockton City Council and Mayoral races: Mayor (Candidates Ann Johnston and Anthony Silva); District #2 City Council seat (Randy Hatch and Kathy Miller); District #4 City Council seat (Diana Maccini Lowery and Moses Zapien); and District #6 City Council seat (Dale Fritchen and Michael Tubbs). 9th CONFRESSIONAL DISTRICT OCT. 15:

The third Forum will be held on Oct. 15 for the new Congressional District 9. (Candidates Ricky Gill and Jerry McNerney), and the new State Assembly District 13 (Candidates Susan Talamantes Eggman and K “Jeffrey” Jafri).
