The Manteca area members of the National Association of Letter Carriers are sponsoring the Muscular Dystrophy Association rib dinner Saturday, April 2, at the MRPS Hall.
Veteran mailman Ron Cruz said the event is the first of its kind for the MDA among the local branches of the nationwide letter carriers’ association.
“If it is successful we hope that other branches throughout the USA will do the same for Jerry’s Kids,” Cruz said.
Postal workers taking calls for dinner ticket purchases are Mike Ladner, 482-4949; Greg Fuson, 430-4835; Joey Valdez, 629-4662; Sarah Valdez, 481-5516 and Ron G. Cruz, 923-3447. All ticket sales people can provide additional information about the evening.
The proceeds from the dinner will help support the MDA summer camp for victims of the disease.
