Breakfast with Bunny, tiny tots soccer, other endeavors are back
MANTECA RECREATION
Easter Bunny
Manteca Recreation is hopping into Easter April 1.

Manteca Recreation & Community Services continues to adapt to changing COVID-19 in a bid to bring programs back.

Deputy City Manager Toni Lundgren indicated earlier this month that means modifying past programs in such a manner that they can take place outdoors.

Lundgren said all appropriate COVID-19 protocols will be followed including the requirement of masks.

The latest endeavor is the upcoming Drive Thru Breakfast with the Easter Bunny set for Saturday, March 27, in the Manteca Senior Center parking lot at 295 Cherry Lane.

The event designed for children 10 and under includes a breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage link, and beverage. They will also receive a craft project, plastic eggs, photo, and a small gift.

There are four half-hour time slots attendees will be booked into between 9 and 11 a.m.

The cost for children 6 and up is $10 each. Those 5 and under are $5 each.

Tickets are limited. They can be purchased at the senior center by cash or check.  You can also register by phone — (209) 456-8600 — or online using credit cards only. You will be contacted upon registration to choose a time slot.

Easter Grams

Arrange a visit for the Easter Bunny to come to your front yard.

Manteca Recreation & Community Services is partnering with the Manteca Senior Center to have the bunny hop into your front yard.

The visit includes a photo opportunity, an Easter basket filled with plastic eggs and goodies, craft activities, and a box of chocolate covered treats for the whole family. Each family visit is $50.

The registration form is online.

Little People’s Creative Play

Two pre-school programs are being offered in an outdoor setting.

The program meets on Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $40 for residents and $50 for non-city residents. There are three sessions:

*April 9, 16, and 23 with a registration deadline of April 8.

*May 7, 14, and 21 with a registration deadline of May 6.

*June 11, 18, and 25 with a registration deadline of June 10.

Little People’s Creative Play for ages 3 to 5½ years emphasizes basic play skills, motor coordination, and social experiences.

You can register for one day a week or any combination of days. This is not a parent participation class. Attendees must be able to use the restroom unassisted.

Classes are available Monday through Thursdays from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. Register by the Thursday prior to the start of the session. The fee is $50 for Manteca residents and $60 for non-residents.

The three sessions are April 5-29, May 3-27, and June 1-24.
