City adds eComment for public comments on council agenda items

There is now a fourth way you can comment on items before the Manteca City Council given that in-person comments have been eliminated since the pandemic started in mid-March.

The city has launched eComment, an online feedback mechanism. That is in addition to submitting comments by email, regular mail or hand delivered comments by no later than 4 p.m. the day of a City Council meeting.

The system allows you to comment once on every agenda item.  That also includes the ability to comment on an item under public comment.

If you wanted to make your views known on an item on tonight’s agenda, you will have to do so before 4 p.m.

It requires going to the city’s website, clicking on the Legislative Services/City Clerk page, clicking on City Council Video and going down to the eComment for the Dec. 1 City Council meeting.

It requires you to set up an account that you only need to do once. You can them comment on tonight’s agenda and all subsequent agendas.
