The Creepy Car Show at The Commons at Union Ranch on Saturday, Oct. 27, will be a family-friendly event.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three cars varying in makes and models – vehicles will be on display in the front parking lot at the retirement and assisted living facility at 2241 N. Union Road, Manteca.

The annual fundraising event will feature a Halloween theme. Proceeds will go to the local tutorial program, Give Every Child a Chance.

Last year’s classic car show benefited the Second Harvest Food Bank, according to Director of Sales Deanna De Dios.

“Everyone (at The Commons) looks forward to the car show,” she said on Wednesday. “They all come out and participate.”

Residents and staff often invite their families as well to enjoy the other attractions.

The car show will again recognize and awarded trophies to the top three vehicles – those looking to enter their ride can still do so by calling The Commons at 209.851.4315.

The Creepy Car Show is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The entry fee for vehicles is $20.

Those in attendance are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. They can also receive complimentary reusable trick-or-treat bags.

Raffle tickets ($1 each or six for $5) will be available for the gift packages.

Games for the children along with a pumpkin shooter will be available along with a pie-eating contest.

Music will be provided by a deejay.

In addition, a barbecue ($5 a plate) with a choice of hamburgers or hotdogs along with root beer floats is in the offering.
