A Manteca man is currently being sought by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office after he removed his GPS monitoring bracelet and disappeared on Monday.

Kevin White, who was arrested and charged in 2018 for assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, and vandalism in excess of $400, was enrolled in the county’s Electronic Monitoring Program to restrict his public access in lieu of serving a jail sentence.

Officers received a notification that White, who is known to frequent the Manteca and Modesto areas, had removed the ankle bracelet and has not been seen since.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for White and is encouraging anybody anybody with information about his whereabouts to contact their local authorities. If he is seen in public the Sheriff’s Office advises against making any sort of contact and urges those who see him to call 911 immediately.
