Gunfire erupted outside of Chuck’s Place early Sunday morning as Manteca Police were responding to reports of a large group of people involved in a physical fight.
As officers responded at 1:52 a.m., Manteca Police Dispatchers received additional calls reporting the sounds of gunfire in the area of the bar  located at 1447 Historical Plaza Way across from Home Depot. 
Officers arrived on scene and found the large crowd involved in the fight was dispersing. No one was found to be injured at the scene. No suspects responsible for the gunshots were located.
Spent bullet shell casings were located in the parking lot at the scene where people reported the gunshots originated from. The investigation into the incident continues, anyone with information is asked to call the Manteca Police Department at 209-456-8101. The reference to the case 19-36513.
