Food Truck Frenzy with Mike Torres Band is Sunday at Woodward
food trucks
Food trucks line up at the wildly successful City of Manteca food truck mania conducted six years ago at Woodward Park that on its initial once-a-month Sunday effort lured more than 6,000 people to dine from 16 food trucks over a five-hour period.

The end of summer Food Truck Frenzy takes place Sunday, July 24, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Woodward Park.

The Manteca Recreation & Community Services event being staged in conjunction with the Manteca Chamber of Commerce features food trucks, drinks, kids' activities, free school supplies for kids and a performance from The Mike Torres Jr. Band from 4 to 7 p.m.

Other upcoming Manteca Recreation & Community Services events includes the weekly farmers market today and every Saturday through the end of October (except during the Manteca Pumpkin Fair).

It takes place from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m. in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue in downtown Manteca.

Family friendly activities continue next weekend with the Manteca Senior Center’s annual indoor flea market on Saturday, July 30, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’s an air conditioned affair at the center located at 295 Cherry Lane.

Reserved tables are $20 each and are available by contacting the senior center staff.

Also on Saturday, July 30, is the free swim and movie at Lincoln Park.

Swimming and other activities take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Then at sundown around 8:30 p.m., a free movie will be shown at the adjacent Lincoln Park Ball Field. The free movie is Disney’s “Luca”.

For more information contact the Manteca Recreation & Community Services office Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling (209) 456-8600.
