St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Ripon recently made that announcement on the return of the Egyptian Festival.
The 22nd annual event will take place on the weekend of Oct. 4-5 at the church located at 315 Orange Ave.
Admission for the two-day festival is free.
“Everyone is welcome – come hungry, come curious, and come ready to enjoy a weekend full of culture, community, and celebration,” said organizers via social media (St. Mark Egyptian Festival-Ripon).
Egyptian Festival 2025 will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Featured will be a variety of food booths, offering up many of the favorite dishes, including shish kabob, falafel, beef shawarma, stuff grape leaves, zalabia, baklava, macaroni bechamel, filo cheese triangles, and others.
The Pharoah Bazaar boutique – offering everything Egyptian, from traditional clothes to apparel and souvenirs – and the Coptic book store will also be open.
In addition, there will be live entertainment, cultural performances, and fun activities for kids & families.
