Free Zoom classes offered on how to build self-reliance
zoom faces

The public is invited to view either of two Zoom presentations on “Self-Reliance” being offered by the Manteca Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The presentations are set for Sunday, June 7, and Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m.

A news release noted self-reliance is the ability, commitment, and effort to provide for the spiritual and temporal well-being of one’s self and families.

“As we learn and apply the principles of self-reliance in our homes and communities, we can endure times of adversity,” the release states.

While this initial overview can provide a general understanding of self-reliance, the 12 individual classes to be taught on Zoom in the following months will teach and discuss budgeting, how to find a job,  how to get promoted or find a better job.  All classes are free but require commitment and effort to read course materials and participate in class discussions.

These self-reliance courses have been taught at hundreds of locations in countries around the world.  Those presenting the classes have years of local experience in helping individuals and families adopt principles of success.  Following both Zoom presentations, viewers will be provided information to sign up for the series of free classes.   To receive a Zoom invitation, please c Brenda Brooksby, brooksbb@comcast.net
