The eighth-grade class at French Camp Elementary School had a send-off to remember.
The classmates received their certificates of completion Tuesday at the promotion ceremony, celebrating as one big group in the multi-purpose building.
The next stop for those 69 students is high school.
Principal Rene Knapp provided the opening remarks at this special day. She was followed by group of student speakers – Leilani Maria Vargas, Jaretzy Badillo, Kylie Jo Barker, Noemi Renteria, Rebecca Del Rio, and Jazlyne Candelaria Villalobos.
Knapp and Vice Principal Racquhel Zanders led in the presentation of awards.
Distributing the certificates were Knapp, Zanders, Manteca Unified school board member Kathy Howe, Deputy Superintendent and former FC principal Roger Goatcher, and Chief Business Officer Jacqui Breitenbucher.
