The cast of Ripon Christian Theater Department are rehearsing for the upcoming musical production of Hello, Dolly!

 Emma DeBruyn plays the title character in the Ripon Christian Schools’ Theater Department production of ‘Hello Dolly!’

The RC junior is among the 25 cast members, ranging from seventh through 12th graders, in the popular musical directed by Wendy Marshall.

‘Hello Dolly!’ is a Michael Stewart book based on Thornton Wilder’s The Merchant of Yonkers or The Matchmaker – music and lyrics by Jerry Herman – and was a Broadway hit.

DeBruyn is the main character, Dolly Gallagher Levi, a strong-willed matchmaker looking to set up a match for the miserly Horace Vandergelder.

‘Hello, Dolly!’ will have four performances at the RC Performing Arts Center, 435 Maple Ave.

Opening night is Thursday, Oct. 21, beginning at 7 o’clock.

The Friday, Oct. 22, performance is also scheduled for 7 p.m.

Hello Dolly! will feature a 3 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. encore performances on Saturday, Oct. 23.
