The City of Lathrop Police Department reported the arrest of the same driver twice within eight days.
Both times were on DUI-related incidents, said officers via social media on Tuesday.
They noted that the suspect was first stopped over a week ago for speeding and resisting arrest. He was safety taken into custody with use of a Taser.
“The same individual led officers on a low-speed pursuit through the city before being stopped again,” said Lathrop police.
They added, “In both cases, the suspect was found to be under the influence, had his license suspended, and the vehicles he was driving were towed.”
The Lathrop Police Department, as part of September’s safety campaign, is focused on preventing collisions by addressing unsafe driving behaviors.
This includes speeding, illegal turns, and failure to stop at red lights and / or stop signs.
