Lincoln School promotes 70 eighth graders

Classmates look on as a Lincoln School 8th grader being promoted walks up to receive her certificate.

Lincoln Elementary School celebrated the eighth-grade promotion of some 70 students Wednesday in the multi-purpose building.

Alison Joyner and Francisco Venerio spoke on behalf of the Class of 2019, welcoming those in attendance. Included were Manteca Unified board President Stephen Schluer and Senior Director of Elementary Education Cheryl Meeker-Mau.

Principal Randi Souza-Fowzer and Vice Principal Melissa Herrera announced the presentation of awards.

The school also praised distinguished scholars Nancy Medina, Paola Tapia Moreno, Keyleen Linares PIneda, Salvador Suarez and Francisco Venerio, as well as honor cord recipients Mariah Alcazar, Yosmar Bautista, Mia Castillo, Jesus Cordero, Yannin Garcia, Olivia Gonsalves, Alejandro Gomzalez, Jesse Hamrick, Amgela Lopez, Coraima Medina Medina, Tania Olivares, Kelah Sweet-Mims, Braulio Verdin and Israa Zambrano.
