A performance by the East Union High Drama Department of "The Little Mermaid" will be held Wednesday at the Block Box Theater in conjunction with the EU Art Show.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the admission-free Art Show will feature various genres, from students in AP Art classes to intermediate and beginners. The works of those winners -- included is Best in Show -- will be entered in the Manteca Unified District Art Show scheduled later this month.

The East Union band and choir will also perform that evening.

"The Little Mermaid" is an adaptation of the classic fairy tale and suitable for children of all ages.

Show time is 7 p.m.

Those with  little ones who prefer to sit on the ground can do so without paying (bringing a blanket or pillow is perfectly appropriate, in this case).

"The Little Mermaid" is a play by Mila Johansen featuring the Marina, the mermaid, who devises a plan to win the heart of Prince Caspian.

She'll do so with her most prized gift -- her voice.
