Manteca police, fire offering free COVID tests

Looking to add a few COVID tests to the medicine cabinet?

On Saturday, July 30, the Manteca Police and Fire Departments will have you covered.

Starting at 4 p.m., both departments will be on hand at Manteca City Hall – located at 1001 W. Center Street – to hand out free COVID-19 at-home tests as long as supplies last.

The tests will be handed out in the southwest parking lot, and will be a drive-thru location.

In an effort to get a handle on the persistent infection surges, government agencies have made it a priority to make at-home testing a quick and easy way for people to determine whether they’re infected – providing free at-home tests to be delivered by the United States Postal Service, and designating quantities for municipalities and other agencies to distribute to their constituents.

The giveaway is scheduled to continue until 7 p.m. or until supplies run out.

For more information, or to obtain a copy of the flier that the agencies are circulating on social media, visit the Manteca Police Departments Facebook page at www.facebook.com/MantecaPolice.
