Manteca is on the move.
And Mayor Gary Singh is going to share why during the State of the City set for Thursday, April 13, at Great Wolf Lodge.
Singh has made “Manteca is on the Move” the theme of his address.
San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas will also speak.
A second speaker — representing the development community — is in the process of being confirmed.
The fourth annual event is a joint effort of the City of Manteca and the Manteca Chamber of Commerce.
It features brunch at 9:30 a.m., followed by the program at 10:30 a.m.
There are less than 40 tickets left at $20 apiece.
Tickets are available by going to www.manteca.org or calling the chamber at (209) 823-6121.
Typically, the State of the City address recaps business growth that has taken place as well as municipal initiatives that are aimed at strengthening the economy, amenities, and infrastructure.
This is Singh’s first State of the City talk since being elected in November 2022.
The last was in February 2020 when Ben Cantu was mayor.
The pandemic the following month shut down virtually all public gatherings creating a three-year gap in the State of the City programs.
