MUSD picks Tyson as senior director for elementary ed

Jenni Tyson is the new Senior Director of Elementary Education for Manteca Unified School District. Tyson has served as teacher, reading specialist, program manager, GATE & BTSA coordinator, vice principal, principal, and director over the span of 25 years.

Most recently Tyson served as the Director of Elementary Education with oversight of nine TK-5 school sites. 

A Manteca Unified spokesperson indicated Tyson is a respected leader and communicator, a dedicated professional who understands system leadership offering staff support and sustainable student growth in achievement of state standards, and a professional who loves education and continues to be a lifelong learner as an active participant in the Association of California School Administrators. 

 Tyson holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Pacific and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from National University.

As a Manteca High School graduate and a former Lincoln Elementary School teacher Tyson has a personal connection to the Manteca Unified School District.

Tyson will be working with Meeker-Mau through the transition.
