Manteca Unified is conducting priority registration for the first time ever in a bid to provide the best chance for families to enroll new students into their neighborhood schools.
The priority registration period — that runs from Jan. 17 through March 3 is a bid to give parents the best opportunity to make sure their students are enrolled in neighborhood schools even if they are impacted by growth.
The process allows families to enroll new students earlier than ever before. It is open to all new Manteca Unified students, regardless of school or grade level.
Priority registration also applies to students who are just starting their educational journey:
*Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) that’s available for children turning 5 years old between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024.
*Kindergarten that’s available for children turning 5 years old by September 1, 2023.
As a bonus, families who enroll a UTK or Kindergarten student during the priority registration period will also receive a free School Readiness Kit while supplies last.
The Open Enrollment window will also run from Jan. 7 to March 3.
Open Enrollment allows families to apply to have their child of children attend a MUSD school other than their school of residence.
For questions, families can call their school of residence.
