Music on Maple on Thursday celebrates Hispanic Heritage

Manteca is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, Sept. 18, during the Music on Maple event.

It takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the 100 block of North Maple anchored by the post office in downtown Manteca.

The City of Manteca Recreation and Community Services event includes food trucks and other vendors, live music, a beer garden, a mariachi band, low rider car show, and folklorico dancers.

There is free entry. No outside alcohol permitted.

 

Courts of Praise hosting

baptism festival Saturday

The Courts of Praise is hosting a community baptism on Saturday, Sept. 20.

It will include festival touches such as games, music, food truck, vendors and more.

Jo Johnson of the Courts of Praise said the event is open to the entire community.

They are also working with other churches in the community.

It takes place Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church at 275 North Main Street.
