Neil Hafley Elementary School had a sendoff to remember for 100 or so eighth graders on Tuesday.
The promotion ceremony featured classmates leading in the welcome and the flag salute (Jeremiah Mariscal) as well as the Pledge of Allegiance (Madelynn Miske).
Student Council President Hailey Gayler addressed those in attendance while Secretary Hillary Montero gave the closing speech at the morning event held in the school courtyard.
In addition, Principal Lori Guzman-Alvarez presented the Class of 2019 for the distribution of Certificate of Promotion.
Manteca Unified school board President Stephen Schluer had the honor of accepting the class.
