Love In the Name of Christ or Love INC is hoping to a New Year’s Eve bash to remember.

The local non-profit organization that exists to serve area churches in meeting the basic needs of those in the community is hosting the inaugural ‘LINC Party’ at the Manteca Transit Center, 220 Moffat Blvd.

“The City of Manteca was gracious in supporting our cause,” said Love INC Executive Director Doug Montandon on Monday.

Proceeds from this New Year’s Eve event will benefit not just Love INC but the Hope Ministry Family Shelter, Pregnancy Help Center of Manteca and Thomas’ Good Turn.

The latter is an outreach for pets of the homeless in Stockton and Manteca.

According to Montandon, Thomas’ Good Turn now has a foster care facility to help those who are homeless with pets but, for whatever reasons, need to put them in a temporary shelter.

“As we know, there are homeless who will have a dog as a companion,” he said.

The hope under Thomas’ Good Turn is to foster the pet as that person looks into the available resources to better his or her situation.

Montandon under hope is for the New Year’s Eve ‘LINC Party’ to be an annual traditional.

“This will benefit four organizations,” he said.

Tickets are $50 per person and includes an evening of dancing, drinking – champagne toast to ring in 2019 is also part of the deal – hors d’oeuvres and desserts.

Music will be provided by deejay Jungle Jim formerly of KAT Country Radio.
