Avid Candlewood Suites is looking to locate in the vacant lot next to the Fly J truck stop.
A public hearing on the proposed four-story, 107-room hotel will take place at Monday’s 6 p.m. Ripon Planning Commission meeting in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
Manteca Hospitality Inc. is the developer for Avid Candlewood Suites, planned for the 2.03-acre site on Jack Tone Road crossing near Highway 99.
The building would be 45,338 square feet, featuring lobby / food area and fitness room on the first floor.
The outdoor swimming pool and gazebo would also be on the ground floor along with the off-street parking facility and landscaped areas.
The second floor would include the guest laundry room.
Plans also call for 31 king size rooms, two handicap accessible standard king size rooms, 30 studio king size rooms, two handicap accessible studio king size rooms, two king size one-bedroom suites, one handicap accessible standard double queen size rooms, 22 standard double queen size rooms, one handicap accessible double queen size rooms, 15 studio double queen size suites and one double queen size handicap accessible suite.
Commissioners, in addition will discuss and possibly approve West Valley Concrete Inc.’s Major Site Review Plan Permit request to construct a 7,560-building consisting of 2,500 square feet of office space and 5,060 square feet of warehouse / shop space at 875 Doak Boulevard in the Light Industrial district of town.
