Lathrop Police are currently looking for any information the public may have about the identity of a group of East Indian males that were caught on camera fighting with two men outside of the front entrance of Target on Golden Valley Parkway on Saturday night.

According to Lathrop Police Services, detectives investigating the incident have determined that at least four men attacked two other men just outside the entrance to the store, and pictures and video have surfaced showing some of the men kicking and stomping one of the men after he is knocked to the ground.

In one particularly grisly clip, a man in a blue button-down shirt and black pants can be seen running into the frame and stomping the downed man’s head into the pavement, and then pausing only to do the same thing again – falling in the process. When the attacking group saw the man’s body laying lifeless on the ground, all four then appeared to run into the parking lot where they fled in two vehicles – a lifted 4-door white Dodge pickup truck and a black Dodge Charger.

The motive for the attack has not been released by investigators, but the case is being investigated by another agency in conjunction with their separate investigation. No information about the health of the man shown being stomped in the video was released with the initial reports asking for the public’s help, but he was not taken to the hospital and according to police there were no major injuries in the assault.

Anybody with any information about the case is encouraged to contact Lathrop Police Services at 209.858.5551, referencing Case No. 19-14139.
