You can help a Ripon youth and her family as she takes on cancer.

An ice cream fundraiser is taking place on Sunday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the House of Cars Swap Meet, 467 N. Wilma Ave., Ripon.

There will also be prizes and lemonade. The cost is $5.

Rosa last year was diagnosed with a tumor on her spine.

She has undergone two surgeries so far. The tumor is benign.

They were not able to remove all of the tumor.

Because of the surgeries, most of Rosa’s right leg has some numbness and less than normal strength.

Unfortunately, Rosa is unable to return to her beloved pursuits of horseback riding or soccer.

The fundraiser will help Rosa and her family cover medical bills and therapy costs.
