Ripon Christian Schools will be looking at possibly expanding.

A public notice was recently posted on the City of Ripon website (www.cityofripon.org), requesting a rezone of a pair of properties currently located at 456 Maple Ave. and 552 N. Wilma Ave.

Both are currently zoned for residential and would need to be changed to Public-Semipublic for “the purpose of expanding Ripon Christian Schools’ campus,” according to the public notice.

Of the two properties, the one across from RCS campus – 9,825 square feet – is designated as Single Family Residential Urban Core (R1UC) while the other at 14,529 square feet is currently zoned as Single Family Residential (R1).

A public hearing on the rezone will take place at the May 15 Ripon Planning Commission.
