Ripon High will soon get fresh coat of paint.

But one way of getting a sneak preview of the selected colors is to check out the Ripon Unified district office across the street at 304 N. Acacia Ave.

“The district office is much more paintable job for us than the high school,” said Director of Maintenance and Operation Andy Strickland at a recent RUSD board meeting.

He’ll use his staff to do the test coloring on the building before taking on RHS.

“Many of the [contracted painters] are already committed – they’ve been so months in advance,” Strickland said on using his guys to do the job.

He also acknowledged to the board that the high school is in need of painting.

“We have the colors that are acceptable for the high school,” Strickland added.

The work is scheduled to be conducted during the summer break.
