Members of the graduating class make their way into the stadium

Ripon High’s Class of 2023 honored 215 students on Friday.

They made their way from the gym to Stouffer Field, greeted by family, friends, teachers, and other guests.

Leading the way were valedictorian David Wang and salutatorian Dillan Saltsman. Wang will be attending UCLA next year while Saltsman is Stanford University-bound.

Both were among the student speakers along with senior class President April Yan, who welcomed those in attendance.

The school’s JROTC provided the presentation of colors followed by the Ripon High choir performing the Star-Spangled Banner.

RHS Principal Keith Rangel had the honors of the presenting the class for the presentation of diplomas.

The Ripon Unified school board consisting of President Caroline Hutto, Kit Oase, Vince Hobbs, Christina Orlando, and Jason Winter did just that.

The ceremony concluded with the recessional tune “I lived” by One Republic.
