Robert Mayfield was one of four resignations accepted at Monday’s Ripon Unified school board meeting.

The Ripon High teacher thanked elected leaders and school officials for his time at RUSD – Mayfield has over 20 years of experience as an educator and instructional leader – as he moves on to the San Joaquin County Office of Education.

Trustees, meanwhile, approved seven new hires.

Included were Weston Elementary School paraeducator Lidia Jacobs, and, from the substitute pool, Steeven More Cabeza (custodial), Jackline Belmonte (custodial), Melanie Martinez (certificated), Christine Humiston (instructional aide), Erica Atherton (food service), and Rosa Hernandez (food service).
