The Ripon Police Department is going live tonight (Aug. 12) for an Area of Responsibility meeting.

According to Lt. Danny Sauer, the 7 p.m. session can be viewed via Facebook.

"This will be our first time conducting this meeting virtual," he said, citing health and safety due to the rise of COVID-19 cases.

Police will cover Area of Responsibility #3, which encompasses south of Highway 99 and West of Vera Avenue.

This is a time for those logged on to become better acquainted with the officers assigned to their neighborhood, business, or school.
